Description | The American Woman's League Convention parade was held on Delmar Boulevard on the plaza between the Woman's Magazine Building and the Woman's National Daily Building on June 11, 1910, the last day of Convention. It was originally scheduled to take place on June 10, but was postponed because of rain. Floats were created under the direction of George Julian Zolnay, director of the People's University Art Academy, and built by the students. The float representing the ceramics division is in the foreground and the float representing the sculpture division is on the left. The float representing the League itself is in front of the steps of the Woman's National Daily Building. |
