Description | In 1903, Edward Gardner Lewis hired architect Herbert C. Chivers to design the new headquarters for the Lewis Publishing Company. He designed the building using a mix of styles. In this photograph taken in the fall of 1903, the exterior walls for the headquarters building, known more familiarly as the Woman's Magazine Building, are complete up to the fourth floor. The Press Annex, also under construction, is on the left. |
