Date.Digital | 2002-07-30 | Date.Original | 1908 | Description | The Woman's Magazine Building and Press Annex were built in 1903. The Press Annex was redesigned in late 1908 by architects Eames and Young so that it more closely resembled the design of the Magazine Building. In this photograph, the exterior walls are being rebuilt. Reportedly, the presses continued to roll during the entire remodeling, printing "The Woman's Magazine," and "The Woman's Farm Journal." | Source | Photograph, lower right corner torn, crease left side, crease center, dirt smudges and marks, 9.48" by 5.72" | Subject | University City (Mo.)--Pictorial Works | Subject | Lewis Publishing Company | Subject | Woman's Magazine Building-Press Annex (University City, Mo.) | Subject.Keyword | People--Missouri--University City | Subject.Keyword | Buildings--Missouri--University City | Title | Woman's Magazine Build Press Annex during remodeling, 1908 - View 6 |
