Description | The Woman's Magazine Building and Press Annex were built in 1903. The Press Annex was redesigned in late 1908 by architects Eames and Young so that it more closely resembled the design of the Magazine Building, and to add a second story to provide additional work space. In this photograph, most of the building has been reconstructed. Terra cotta decoration is in place around the windows and at the new second story roof line. The tower was used by McCormack-Combs-Brainard Construction Company, construction company for the concrete work for the project, to pour concrete on the second floor. |
