Description | In early 1910, Louise Thomas, principal of Lenox Hall, a private school for girls in St. Louis, announced that the school would be moving to a new building to be constructed in University City. Teachers and students gathered at Trinity and Washington Avenues in the rain on March 2, 1910 for the ground breaking ceremony. This photograph appeared in "The Woman's National Daily" on March 3, 1910. |
