The League also provided a set of mission style furniture and carpets, as well as a state of the art phonograph. The League's lending library of phonograph records circulated by mail amoung the Chapters in specially built record cases. The plaque over the fireplace, designed by George Julian Zolnay, is a representation of the League's logo - a woman, seated, with two children. | Source | Photograph, mounted on scrapbook paper, edges turning silver, 9.42" by 7.44" | Subject | North Chicago (Ill.) | Subject | American Woman's League--Chapter Houses | Subject.Keyword | Arts and crafts movement | Subject.Keyword | Furniture, mission | Title | American Woman's League Chapter House, North Chicago, Illinois - Interior |
